It’s easy.Hereford is located at the heart of the Marches, the historic border county where England meets Wales and a good location to base to go and explore the towns and the stunning and picturesque black and white villages of Herefordshire.
By car  There are excellent motorway and main road links with the rest of the UK.  Hereford is just 3 hours from London and 1 ½ hours from Birmingham International Airport.

Birmingham-Hereford:  58 miles
London-Hereford:  135 miles
Manchester-Hereford:  138 miles
 
By rail  There are railway stations at Hereford, Leominster, Colwall and Ledbury and if you are visiting the surrounding towns Knighton, Malvern and Ludlow are accessable via train.  Direct trains run to Hereford daily from Birmingham New Street Station (which has connections to Birmingham International Airport), with a journey time of 1 ½ hours.  The regular service from Manchester stops at Leominster and Hereford (journey time 2 hours 10 minutes).  Direct trains from London Paddington to Hereford (journey time about 3 hours) stop at Ledbury.

By coach  National Express coaches run nationwide services.  You can, for example, travel direct from London, Birmingham and Cardiff to Hereford, Ledbury or Ross-on-Wye

By air  The nearest major international airports are Birmingham, Cardiff and Bristol with scheduled flights to and from America and many European hubs.  The London airports of Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted have a more comprehensive range of flights and destinations.  Car hire is available at all airports.
